LEVEL 1 COACHING COURSE 2011/2012
Canterbury Country Cricket will be running a Level 1 Coaching Course @ Mainpower Oval, Rangiora. The coure will be run thoughout April & May 2012. As well as the courses listed below, Development Officers from the Canterbury Country Cricket Association are available to come to your club or school and run the MILO have a go Coaching Course or the MILO Kiwi Coaching Course at any stage during the season.
Getting Started
This course is designed for the parent, volunteer or coach involved in coaching 10-18 year olds at primary schools, secondary schools or clubs. It is mainly concerned with 11-a-side coaching
Level I
Level 1 combines practical sessions and personal study and is intended for those coaches of 11-a-side teams who have some knowledge and/or cricket playing experience. It focuses on planning, coaching through the principals of biomechanics and demonstrating an understanding of team coaching
Level II
Level two is designed for serious 11-a-side team coaches who have an active coaching record and a commitment to coaching. It concentrates on detailed planning and evaluation, understanding and using the principals of biomechanics to coach, analyse and improve skills. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the coaching process and effective team coaching, including game tactics
